Put dry ingredients in a food processor
Cut the cold butter into 1/2" cubes and add the butter to the food processor, and process with pulses until evenly mixed.
Put contents of food processor bowl into a medium mixing bowl, add the buttermilk and stir until just blended. The resulting should be dough that is just sticky enough that you wouldn't be tempted to try to roll it out.
Drop about 6 to 8 cakes evenly spaced onto a large cookie sheet and bake in a 450ยบ oven for 12-15 minutes.
