 6 cups All purpose flour
 3 tbsp baking powder
 1 tbsp salt
 1 cup Crisco

Sift Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

 Cut in the Fat: Add the shortening (or butter). Use a pastry blender or two knives to cut the fat into the flour until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs or "mealy" sand. There should be no large chunks left.

Store: * If using shortening: Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry pantry for up to 3 months.

If using butter: Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months to keep the dairy fresh.
